Tree Planting

Trees and forests around the world are under strain from climate change. They are also threatened by logging and development. To address these problems —and to increase the capture of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere— campaigns are needed to help save the world by planting trees. Recent research has shown that the easiest and cheapest way to mitigate climate change is by planting trees. This was the reason why tree planting was the top objective of our organization. AWIFCA has planted thousands of seedlings within different schools and communities around the Kano metropolis. Many have been planted in public schools, private schools, mosques and primary health care facilit ies tertiary institutions.
