About Awifca
Arewa Women Initiative For Climate Change Advocacy and Environmental Sustainability (AWIFCA) is a women-led organization founded in 2020 and officially registered with Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) under registration number 164919. We are a non-partisan, non-religious, non-discriminatory, and non-profit organization headquartered in Kano, Nigeria.
Since our establishment, we have planted thousands of trees, empowered students and teachers across Kano State through environmental education, and championed access to clean energy and water in underserved communities.
