AWIFCA courtesy visit

The Arewa Women Initiative for Climate Change Advocacy and Environmental Sustainability (AWIFCA) paid a courtesy visit to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment, and the Director, Climate Change Department, to propose a strategic partnership on the Kano State Climate Change Policy Implementation Plan.

Our discussion centred on three core high-impact areas:
🌿 Climate-Smart Agriculture and Resilient Livelihoods
♻️ Integrated Waste Management and Circular Economy
📘 Climate and Environmental Education

The Permanent Secretary expressed the Ministry’s commitment to collaborating with AWIFCA in advancing these priorities, while the Director commended our ongoing efforts and impactful projects across the state.

They both appreciated the leadership role of women in driving climate action and assured us of their continuous support.
